DOWEX™ ion exchange resins are products of Dow Water & Process Solution, a globally recognized leader in separation technologies and solutions for industrial, municipal, commercial and consumer water applications, as well as a variety of special separations. The line of DOWEX™ resins includes DOWEX™ MONOSPHERE and DOWEX™ MARATHON resins that deliver significant performance advantages over conventional resins with normal or Gaussian particle size distribution. DOWEX™ UPS resins offer premium performance when used in either multiple-bed or mixed bed demineralisation, as well as in such demanding applications as boiler condensate polishing of rinse water used in semiconductor processing, radioactive waste treatment in nuclear power plant operations, and other applications with critical water purity standards. The advantages of uniform particle size (UPS) over conventional resins has been demonstrated both in the laboratory and on working plants. For example, DOWEX™ GUARDIAN resins meet the stringent iron removal and TOC cleanliness requirements of deep bed condensate polishing in boiling water reactor (BWR) nuclear power plants. The UPCORE System (Upflow Counter Regeneration System) is an advanced system for more productive and more cost-effective ion exchange demineralisation.
